The passion and enjoyment of cemeteries. The practice often involves graveyard photography, epitaph reading or famous grave hunting.
People often struggle to understand my interest in cemeteries, but I find them to be very relaxing places, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life where you can sit with just your thoughts for company.
When searching for a certain grave, I have started to use the term Cemetery Safari which seems to fit well! I can’t however take credit for the term, this was coined by the GrimmlifeColletive.
I am predominantly interested in the Victorian tombstones as they often have an interesting story to tell (people often don’t realise that there are hundreds of different carvings or inscriptions which mean certain things pointing towards the life or death of the person buried there).
