National Waterways Museum, Ellesmere Port

It had been a while since I had met up with my fellow photobudy, M, so when a trip was planned to the National Waterways Museum on a free day, I quickly said yes and pencilled the date into the diary.

Roll on said date and the sun was shining, with lovely warm (but not too warm) early Spring temperatures and it just so happened that there was also a Steam Punk event on at the museum as well, so it was a bit of a 2-for-1 event.

I had not previously visited the museum before and had not done any pre-attending checks to see the lay of the land, so I went there with an open mind and to be honest, it’s a nice place for a wander and it’s bigger than you would expect with plenty to see and do (plus a nice cafe which had tea cakes on offer for a reasonable price – when they finally turned up, but that’s another story).

This year was going to be the year when I started to take more time and put more effort into my photos, sadly though once again, when I got home, I was left sadly disappointed with the results I achieved for the day and below is about the best I could come up with for the whole day – I guess that’s a good excuse though to head back at some point down the line.
