Christmas at Chatsworth House 2023

The second of the annual Christmas traditions found me heading over into Derbyshire to see Chatsworth House dressed for Christmas.

This year would be the third time I have seen this, the first time I went, I was thoroughly impressed with the decorations they had put out, however on my second trip, it was a “best of” the previous twenty or so years and sadly, i did not find that year quite as interesting, so I was not sure what to expect this time around (as I had avoided any information as to what was in store this year).

I have to say, I was really impressed with what they came up with this time, with each room representing a different door on an advent calendar and it was thoroughly inventive from elves projected onto various surfaces performing Christmas related tasks through to a tree made entirely of mince pies.

All in all, it was a great wander around the house, only to then be topped off by an advent calendar being projected onto the side of the house at the end of the light trail (which honestly was a bit of a let down).

All in all, a good time was had and I am already looking forward to what they will come up with next year.
