Polperro, Cornwall, September 2026

I was a bit anxious this year as the weather when I was supposed to be away was due to take a turn for the worst, after a long hot summer, however some places I feel are better seen when it’s not picture-perfect wall to wall blue sky.

This happened with my trip down to Polperro, which is a place I have only visited once before and I decided it was overdue a revisit.

As I was heading down into the village the mist descended giving the place quite an eerie feeling, reminiscing of times gone by and winter days when all the tourists have gone home.

There is not much to see really in this small harbour village and I was only there for a couple of hours, however there are plenty of little nooks and crannies which make for nice photos.

Again, time to play around with the processing style and I am trying out a tone which I felt suited the atmosphere and weather of the day.
