The pink Passport quest continues with visit number 20, up to the Lake District to see the former home of Beatrix Potter, Hill Top.
This was a place I had seen recently on Secrets of the National Trust, so the next fine weekend to arrive took me up over to the Lake District.
If I am totally honest here, I was left a little disappointed with the place as it is really small and quite hard to take photos in as it’s very dark in many of the rooms.
I actually enjoyed the garden more than the house really, which may make sense as it was the focal point of many of Beatrix’s stories.
Back in the house, the highlight had to be the dolls house, which was featured on the TV programme and was as impressive as I expected, it’s fascinating how much detail was put into the house.
After completing my tip to Hill Top I made the most of the early summer lovely day and visited a few other small towns around the area to make it overall another grand day out.
